Good Times on Staten Island

There's a really cool museum for little guys like me just over the bridge from home, in Staten Island. They have a bunch of fun things to check out, including a few of my favorites....

Oh yeah. A big ol' Fire Truck, complete with puppy dog.

They had a big chess board with pieces almost as big as me. My favorites were the horsies. Giddyup to rook four!

Daddy said this was a game he played as a kid, called Connect Four. It just looked like holes and discs to me.

Upstairs, they had a bug room, where I could learn about caterpillars....

Play with big butterflies....

And make bug noises on a big sound board.

Kiss Me, I'm (Part) Irish

March is when St. Patrick's Day comes along, and in our neck of the woods, they kick the festivities off early. So, we went to the Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade, and I saw all kinds of cool stuff. I love balloons, so while we waited for everything to get started, Mommy and Daddy got me a big one with clovers on it...

When the parade made its' way down the road, there were a bunch of guys in skirts leading the way...

And then, my favorite part: the Fire Trucks! There were a gazillion of them, all lined up down the road, honking their horns and flashing their lights. I was in heaven.

They even had a big glass of daddy's favorite "juice" walking along, too.
